I am Justin Arney, owner and director of Hewett-Arney Funeral Home.

Let me start by expressing my deepest condolences to you and your family, if you have lost a loved one. It is my hope that my staff and I will be afforded the opportunity to provide you and your loved ones with the services, ceremonial, and emotional support you require in your time of need.

About My Experience

I have been a licensed Funeral Director for 13 years. I was introduced to the funeral business a couple years earlier, by David Cook who was the owner of Hoelscher Funeral Home located in Rosebud Texas. Under David, I learned about caring for families during the most difficult time in their lives. He taught me how to serve families in a way that would help bring them comfort and peace. Ever since, I have dedicated myself to serving families and have a passion for what I do.

The History of the Historic Hewett Building

Hewett Funeral Home got it's start in 1911, in downtown Temple. It was located on S.1st Street until it moved to the current building in 1942. This was Hewett Funeral Home's location for 62 years. This building housed Temple Funeral Home from 2004 -2008. In November 2008, Hewett-Arney Funeral Home opened for business. We continue to strive to honor the traditions and values that have come to be expected by our community.
