Obituary

Carol Jeane (Leigon) Geisselbrecht, age 72, of Temple, Texas passed suddenly from this life during the early morning hours of Sunday, September 27, 2020 in Temple. Born on the 13th day of November 1947 in Austin, Texas Carol was the daughter of Perry D. and Linnie (Veteto) Leigon.

Carol attended school in Austin, TX at Austin High School were she also graduated from. After High School Carol attended Nursing Classes at Temple College and the University of Houston. In 1969 Carol married the love of her life Rolfe Geisselbrecht in Austin, TX. Carol was apart of the Christ the King Church and lead the Rosary every Saturday night for years. Carol was a very devoted Christian who loved her church family just like they were her own. She loved to read cookbooks, cook meals, fish, and hunt every chance she got. Carol was a fighter who fought cancer six different times; however this last time God finally called her home. Carol will be missed dearly by friends and family.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her son Carl Geisselbrecht and her sister Hazel Nelson.

Carol leaves behind to cherish her memory her husband Rolfe Geisselbrecht of Temple, her two sisters Patsy Sconi of Austin and Jhoetta Friday of Bastrop.

A viewing will be held at Hewett-Arney Funeral Home Thursday, October 1, 2020 from 1-2:00pm with a Rosary being recited at 1:30pm. A funeral service will be held following the visitation at 2:00pm. After the service there will be a burial to follow at Bellwood Memorial Park in Temple, TX.
