Obituary

Casey Glen Claypool, 24 of Texas passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, June 11, 2020, at Baylor Scott & White Hospital in Temple. Casey was born in Houston Texas on April 11, 1996, to parents Charles Kent and Monica Joerger Claypool. He was raised in Bastrop Texas, graduating from Belton High School in 2014. He studied at the University of Texas where he earned a Bachelors of Art in English with a Minor in Religious Studies and he was well on his way to becoming a teacher through The University of Texas Urban Teachers program.

Casey always wanted his life to give meaning to others and be a positive influence on those around him. He was very spiritual and baptized in the Catholic faith, and a member of Christ the King Catholic Church in Belton Texas. An extremely kind and gracious young man he had a compassionate heart and smile for everyone he came in contact with. He found solace in religion and peace while reading, listening to classical music, studying poetry, and being outdoors.

This world is a better place because of Casey and the love and generosity he had for so many. His final gift in life was being an organ donor with the STA Southwest Transplant Alliance of Texas.
The legacy he leaves behind will always be remembered and cherished by family and friends.

Casey is survived by his parents, Charles Kent Claypool and Monica. Claypool, sister Lauren Claypool, as well as aunts and uncles from both the Claypool and Joerger sides of the family.

A memorial will be held at a later date due to the current circumstances with the COVID pandemic.

In lieu of flowers please make donations in his honor to Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center, University of Texas in Austin.

Hewett-Arney Funeral Home of Temple is entrusted with the arrangements.
