Obituary

Dennis Nicomede, age 73, passed away peacefully Saturday afternoon, September 5, 2020 in Temple, Texas. Dennis and his wife, Jeanne, have lived in Temple for a little over two years. He was born and raised and spent most of his life in Southern California; then in 2004, he and Jeanne moved to Talent, Oregon for approximately eight years. He served in the Army for two years in the CID (Criminal Investigation Department).

Dennis was a very selfless, Spiritual man, lover of life and lover of people. He was intelligent and could converse with just about anyone about anything. His easy-going, fun-loving, lighthearted personality always made people feel at ease. His contagious smile will be remembered by all. He knew part of his role in life was to uplift the spirit of everyone he met; this was a natural ability he possessed and shared, and he loved it when people smiled back. He loved watching sports; as a young man he played on softball leagues and had fun with the Frisbee. He was a published Author, Poet, Actor, Narrator, Storyteller and Master of Ceremony among other things. He always possessed the most positive of attitudes, (even through this illness which unexpectedly took him from us). His presence, personality, effervescent smile and Spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

He leaves behind his loving wife, Jeanne; son Dan and daughter-in-law Johnna; daughter Kate and son-in-law Daniel – their two children, Charlotte and Ethan, (Dennis’ grandchildren) -- Brother Terry and his wife, Debbi; niece Kristy and her husband, Eddie - one grand-nephew, Jordan, and two grand-nieces, Lilly and Ammie; niece Amy, grand-niece Jordan and grand-nephew Nolan.

I was surprised and saddened to hear of Dennis’ passing. We were HS classmates at Fullerton Union High in Fullerton, Ca, class of 1965. I communicated a few times with Dennis thru our high school alumni website. Dennis was always friendly, smiling, and a great guy. RIP Dennis.
