Obituary

Dimas Salazar Martinez, age 64, of Temple passed from this life during the early afternoon hours of August 14, 2020 at Baylor Scott and White Hospital. Born in Bishop, Texas on the 26th day of March 1956 he was the son of Rufino and Petra (Salazar) Martinez.

Dimas moved with his family to the Temple area when he was a child. He went to school and graduated from Seaton when the little school was still in operation. He enjoyed hunting, working on cars and being outside. He loved his tools and his truck but most of all he loved his best friend and companion his dog. Dimas has always had a special place in his heart for his family; he was very loved and will be missed. He has been a resident of the Temple area for his entire life.

He is preceded in death by his parents Rufino and Petra as well as his 2 sisters Hortencia Ledesma and Rosa Jansing.

Dimas leaves behind to cherish his memory his brother Raymond Martinez Sr. of Temple, sister Sally Sheehan of Temple and sister Alicia Jimenez of Jarrell as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

A memorial service will be held at Hewett-Arney Funeral Home in Temple on Saturday, August 22, 2020 at 10 o’clock a.m. with Dimas’ family and friends officiating.

Hewett-Arney Funeral Home of Temple is entrusted with the arrangements.
