Frederick C. Tice (USAF Ret.), age 83, of Temple passed from this life during the early morning hours of Saturday, March 21, 2020 at his home after a 40-year battle with diabetes. Born on the 9th day of March 1937 in Yonkers, New York he was the son of Edmund and Irene (Charlton) Tice.

After grade school in 1954 Frederick enlisted in the United States Air Force where he would serve his country proudly. After 25 years, on 1 April 1979, he retired from the Air Force as a Senior Master Sergeant while working in the logistics field. After his retirement from the service he spent the next 25 years working for a defense logistics contractor where in April of 2004 he would retire again as the Vice-President of Operations at Phoenix Mgt. Inc. (PMI) in Austin, Texas. Frederick has lived in the Temple area since his retirement.

He is preceded in death by his parents Edmund and Irene.

Frederick leaves behind to cherish his memory the mother of his children Fumi Tice, his 3 daughters Irene Tice, Barbara Royer and Nancy Bunt as well as 2 son-in-laws and 6 grandchildren.

Service will be held at a later date.

Hewett-Arney Funeral Home of Temple is entrusted with the arrangements.

I'm so sorry for the Lost of your beloved Fred just wanted to say how much I'm going to miss him he was kind-hearted and oh what a smile

My mom met Fred walking our dog Penny. Penny and Fred fell in love with each other and he will truly be missed. My mom and Penny would stop by every day to visit and to get her much anticipated treats. He was one of a kind and truly will be missed.
