Obituary

Alice "Lorraine" (Rogers) Bynum, age 95, of Temple passed from this life during the mid-morning hours of Monday, August 24, 2020 at a local nursing facility. Born on the 21st day of March 1925 in Oklahoma, she was the daughter of Charles and Mary (Fawcett) Rogers.

Lorraine grew up in Oklahoma where she graduated High School and got a degree in Nursing. She worked as a nurse in Oklahoma for 30 years after receiving her degree. She then went on to working in the medical field for Scott & White for 25 years. Shortly after graduating and receiving her degree she moved to the bell county area where she has been a resident for over 50 years. Lorraine was a devoted Christian who shared a great gift in humanity loving everyone. She had a great love for animals, knitting, canning foods, and going on adventures outdoors. Lorraine had a smile that would warm your heart; she was always accepting and had a heart for humanity. Even at 95 years old Lorraine would make sure she would “make her rounds” around the nursing home, visiting other residents making sure they had everything they needed and were well taken care of. Lorraine will be missed deeply by her family and friends.

She is proceeded in death by her parents Charles and Mary, her two daughters Charlene Pelzel and Emma Eiker, three sisters Louise Rogers, Dorothy Rogers, and Josephine Rogers, four brothers Buster Rogers, Tom Rogers, Ed Rogers, and Bud Rogers.

Lorraine leaves behind to cherish her memory her six children Teresa Wall, Michael Cumming, Robert Anthony Cummning, Linda Boone, Dona Barron, Waltina Newman, one brother George Earl Rogers, Numerous Grandchildren, Great- Grandchildren, and Great-Great- Grandchildren.

Hewett- Arney Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements.
