Marian Sue “Suzi” Liddle Corley, 63, of Marble Falls, TX passed away January 9, 2020 from complications of the flu.

She was born October 20, 1956 in Abilene, TX to John and Lynn Smith Liddle. Suzi was a 1974 graduate of Abilene’s Cooper High School, earned her BA from Angelo State University and her MS in Family Studies and Counseling from Texas Women’s University. Much of her career focused on working with At-Risk youth. Suzi retired from a long career in teaching and counseling in 2014.

Suzi was a loving mother and devoted her life completely to Kristen Claire Corley and Christopher Rodway Corley of Marble Falls, TX. She was preceded in death by her parents John and Lynn Liddle of Abilene, TX.

In addition to her children she is survived by her sister Joan Liddle Maner (Randy) of Marble Falls, sister Peggy Liddle of Dallas, TX, and brother Lee Liddle of Whitesboro, TX, loyal best friend Janis Johnson of Austin, TX and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and cousins.

A seventh generation Texan, Suzi was proud of her Texas heritage. She was a descendant of Alamo defender, Andrew Kent, and had five other ancestors who were citizens of the Republic of Texas. She had deep family roots in the Highland Lakes area.

Suzi was a woman of great faith and a member of First United Methodist Church of Marble Falls and especially loved her women’s bible study class there. She loved sharing with others her abiding love of God and the joy and strength it brought to her life. She was a generous and thoughtful woman who loved being of service to others. She loved swimming, cooking, music and her family and friends. Suzi was loved by many and loved many more. She will not be forgotten and all who knew her are comforted knowing that she is happy and free in Heaven with her Lord.

A celebration of Suzi’s life will be held Saturday, February 15th at 2:00PM at First United Methodist Church of Marble Falls, 1101 Bluebonnet Dr., Marble Falls, TX 78654, followed by burial in the family cemetery at Wolf’s Crossing in Kingsland, TX. In Suzi’s honor and memory, please get your flu shot every year.
