Obituary

Marion “Kay” Morriss, 69 years, of Moody passed from this life during the early morning hours of Monday, September 21, 2020 at her home. Born on the 21st day of August 1951 in McKinney, Texas she was the daughter of William “Bus” and Jackie (Webb) Moore.

Kay grew up in the Prosper, Texas area; she was a graduate of Prosper High School. She has spent the past 23 years living in Moody surrounded by her kids and grandkids who all reside in Moody as well. Kay loved to spend her days outside. She enjoyed sitting by the lake fishing, riding horses and even going to the rodeo for an evening of fun. Most of the time you could find Kay shopping at one of the local Wal-Mart stores or Goodwill stores around Waco. She enjoyed watching television and listening to country music but most of all she loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren; they were the light of her life. She will be dearly missed by all of those that loved her so much.

She is preceded in death by her parents Bus and Jackie.

Kay leaves behind to cherish her memory her daughter Laura Aycock, son Jacky Martin and sister Janet Witt all of Moody. She also leaves behind her five grandchildren Nick Martin, Chelcee Hall, Tanner Martin and the twins Branson and Michenna Aycock. Seven great-grandchildren are surviving, they are Jhace, Jaxon, Jameson and Dean Martin as well as Makenleigh Falk, and Piper and Covey Mitchell.

A memorial service will be held at the Sunset Ranch located at 21837 Hwy 317 in Moody on Friday, September 25, 2020 at 3 o’clock p.m.

Hewett-Arney Funeral Home Temple is entrusted with the arrangements.
