Obituary

Patrick Delmond Daily, age 82, of Temple passed from this life during the early afternoon hours of Monday, July 27, 2020 at his home. Born in Shelbyville, Indiana on the 11th day of July 1938 he was the son of Clancy Herron and Lola Bartrum.

Patrick grew up in Indiana but then relocated to Ohio for many years and then made his way to Tucson, Arizona where he spent many years as well. Patrick loved life. He enjoyed being outdoors, either spending the day fishing or an afternoon at the beach and he always had a love for trains and locomotives. He also loved to cook, so much so that he spent over 60 years as a professional chef for fine restaurants and eating establishments. Patrick was a man that you could go to for advice because you knew he would tell you exactly what he thought as he did not hold back too much when he wanted his opinion heard. Patrick moved to Temple in 2019 to be closer to his son as his health began to decline.

He is preceded in death by his wife Patti and his parents.

Patrick leaves behind to cherish his memory his 2 sons Jared Daily of Temple and Heath Daily of Ohio, 2 brothers Wayne Daily and Don Daily both of Arizona and 4 grandchildren Cheyenne and Sky West, Kayla Daily and Carolina Guthrie.

Patrick was my father-in-law for 11 years, such a beautiful soul. Me and him would laugh and joke around all the time. I would pull pranks on him to keep him smiling, I can still here him saying “Amy it was you was you wasn’t it” 😊! He will always hold a huge peace of my heart, he fought a good battle with cancer. There will never be a day I don’t think about him. He told me before we left for a visit that he would send me signs from Heaven, yesterday Carolina has already seen signs from Heaven! I know that he is at peace now, gone but will never be forgotten! We love you Pat! ❤️
Love always, Amy and Carolina

My heartfelt love for the rest of our family, and the friends he left behind. My brother Patrick is now in the arms of Jesus and his suffering is over. Pat has brought joy to many here in Tucson. His friends were many, and his stories were aplenty. He traveled in California, and onto yachts to work as a chief, he met many stars. He helped formulate Paul Neuman's salad dressings, and met Phyllis Diller among a few.. He was one of the best in his field. As a brother, he was a caretaker for us when young. He taught me how to cook and be disciplined in the kitchen. We went to local mountains to explore caves as he was in the National Caving Society of Tucson. As we grew up he, when young, sent money to mom for rent as we had near nothing during our early years. I loved my Brother and we made peace. We talked about dying when he moved to Texas. He said save your money I don't want any FLOWERS buy yourself some BEER and party ... I already miss him. Don Daily
