Mrs. Parsons was an inspiration to me in my early years of teaching at Duncan Elementary on Ft. Hood. She made learning fun, and always had a twinkle in her eye when she talked about her students. She taught me how to show my students how to do "Japanese addition and multiplication", telling us to think fast so you don't lose your numbers. She wrote the school rap, "If you're a Duncan Dragon, you know you should be Braggin' ...". We will always remember her love of sports. Her grandsons, Cody and Dustin played baseball with my sons, and she always beamed when she talked about 'the boys'. I'm sure she will be teaching class, sharing her stories, and creating many smiles in heaven.
