Obituary for Stanley Edgar Everett II

Stanley Edgar Everett, II entered this world in Big Spring, Texas, on June 30, 1948, born to Stanley and Margie Everett and went home to be with his God and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Friday, October 21, 2022.

Stanley was the second of three boys. He graduated from high school and was drafted into the Army to serve in Vietnam as a radio operator. After returning from service, he settled in Amarillo and solidified his relationship with Jesus Christ at San Jacinto Baptist Church. He worked for the Texas Workforce Commission, retiring after 28 years. His life was dedicated to loving Jesus and his family. He was passionate about singing, cooking, OU, college sports, and later quilting. He was an example of Jesus’ love for his family, serving where he could, never allowing anyone to take themselves too seriously.

Stanley is preceded in death by his parents, Stanley and Margie, his brother Phil, and son Kyle.

He is survived by his bride, Portia Everett; brother Chuck Everett and wife Terri of Deer Park, Texas; his children: Shane Robinson and wife Casey of Vega, Texas, Rodger Krueger and wife Shannon of Keller, Texas; Alicia Morris and husband Robert of Brock, Texas; Bryan Robinson and wife Dana of Houston, Texas; Karsten Krueger and wife Amie of Leander, Texas; and eleven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at Taylors Valley Baptist Church in Temple on Friday, November 4th, 2022, at 10:30 a.m. Following the service, a burial will take place at Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen at 2 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family asked that any donations be made to the building fund at Taylor’s Valley Baptist Church.

Hewett-Arney Funeral Home of Temple is entrusted with these arrangements.
