Tammy Dawn Shannon, age 46, of Temple passed from this life during the early afternoon hours of Tuesday, May 26, 2020 at Baylor Scott & White CCH in Temple. Born on the 30th day of September 1973 in Temple, Tammy was the daughter of Monty and Rose (Mueller) Shannon.

Tammy grew up in Temple and graduated from Belton High School. She devoted her life to helping those that were less fortunate than herself. Tammy worked a lot with special needs kids and adults, transporting them back and forth to where they needed to go and she always volunteered with the Special Olympics. She had a really big heart; Tammy was always kind and loving as well as a person that would never judge another. Tammy loved life and she loved spending it with her best friend and daughter Brittany as well as her faithful teacup chihuahua Toodles. She was a member of the Troy Church of Christ and has been a resident of Bell County for almost all of her life.

She is preceded in death by her parents and her infant sister Dorothy Christine Presson.

Tammy leaves behind to cherish her memory her daughter Brittany Shannon of Temple and her faithful companion Toodles, 2 sister Kimberly Shannon-Morris and Amber Presson both of Troy and her longtime boyfriend Todd Flippo of Temple, her first grandchild expected soon as well as her nephews Justin Shannon and Jerry Morris and her niece Kamrie Shannon.

A memorial service will be held at the Troy Church of Christ in Troy on Saturday, June 6, 2020 at 10:30 a.m.

Hewett-Arney Funeral Home of Temple is entrusted with the arrangements.
